Friday Dark Funkin' is a rhythm game made for the PC. It was fabricated by a programmer named ninjamuffin99. It was first made available to play on the website Newgrounds.[i] [ii] The game is about a character named Swain who wants to exist with his girlfriend. He must go on rap battles with characters who do not want him to.[3] The design of the game was fabricated to look similar to Adobe Flash games from the 2000s.[three] [4] The source code is available in GitHub, more often than not written in Haxe. The game has had a kickstarter in April 2021, where it received a $60,000 goal in a few hours. The game got over $two,000,000.

Friday Night Funkin' is a rhythm game where the player controls Boyfriend, a person who is trying to appointment his girlfriend. However, he must defeat multiple bosses by rap battling in order to exercise so. Swain goes through multiple "weeks", which comprise three songs each. The thespian rap battles the opponents by pressing the WASD or arrow keys.
The histrion tin choose to play the story fashion or freeplay. Story mode allows the player to play the game in multiple weeks. Freeplay allows the player to play each song individually. The game also includes a tutorial.
Friday Night Funkin', due to it being an open-source game, has an active modding community. Mods are fan-made weeks remade to have dissimilar bosses, backgrounds, assets, and such. The full game volition have mod back up using the Polymod framework.
